Hi,

I've written some goa/psy tracks and I'd love some feedback if anyone has time.

Mental:

Starts off with a melodic section, followed by a break-beat break down ending with full on psy/goa...

http://www.oneroute.co.uk/ajs/tracks/solo/07%20-%20Andy%20S%20-%20Mental.mp3

Food Chain:

Starts off with a gentle funky intro, followed by some dark goa with twisted sci-fi vocal samples building up to acid trance style end...

http://www.oneroute.co.uk/ajs/tracks/solo/08%20-%20Andy%20S%20-%20Food%20Chain.mp3

Any feedback good or bad would be greatly appreciated, I've never really had much sensible feedback. There's lots more tunes at http://www.oneroute.co.uk - but not all Goa/Psy!

Cheers,

Mental:
intelligent music
i like the variety of sounds and clear quality, but it missing melody completely by my opinion
a lot of mind blowing lines you got out there and custom drumline, which changes frequently.. like it too

Food Chain:
nicely done bassline.. cool vocal around 2.00 and later
many different synthlines, which is great
the percussion is too likely through whole track.. hihats, snares, drums..
tight break around 5.00... nicely done

-------------------------
both tracks has very good quality, even in 96khz version
almost no repetitions and energetic rythm
i would add a few more FX but its up to your taste and style of course
the synth riffs are enjoyable in most of the cases
your music is definitely stands out of the rest.. a lot of work i can hear inside both of the tracks

personally i like the structure of your songs, maybe because it has something likely to my own music.. =)

best wish with your releases
check my music, you would like it with your taste..

Hi,

Thanks ever so much for taking time out to write a review, much appreciated. I'm glad you like the music. The bass line in Food Chain is a TB-303 would you believe

Just out of interest what style would you say the music was?

I tried to listen to your music the other day and again today, it sounds really nice but with the panning I just can't get a feel for it at all really. Can you put up even a 40k mp3 or something or email me one track? I'd love to hear it in stereo or even consistent mono!

Thanks again,

Andy

i'd define the style of your music as goa-influenced full on, or maybe even psytrance.

the chained tb303 sounded really unlikely to what i used to hear from tb303.

about my tracks: at 40khz mp3 you wont hear anything, man.. too complex music for low quality
but you are very welcome to try this site of mine:

http://www.mp3.com/whoracle

i have there 3 full albums available for streaming in 128kbps mp3s, without any panning

its good... but a litle beat confuse in some parts.. try to simplify... and it going to sound better... and dont let the effects more than "32 temps" do you understand what i mean... in terms of construction it will be better.. but this is just a personal opinion.. but i like it... keep the good vibes... bambole my friend.. 3õ
