hey guys,...
i'd really like to know how you decide which tracktitle fits best for your track...
in my oppinion it's very important to choose a title that is linked to the story of the track
i prefer choosing a theme before i start getting my ideas into my DAW - that really helps me to create an individual touch each time
how do you handle that? |

I usually just start with someone random or part of the sample that i used. But remember you can always change the title afterwards if you feel you need to.

I prefer track titles that make no sense whatsoever and that are in German. I don't know why music that has no words always has to have English names, i would love to see some Swedish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Klingon or whatever happens to be your first language track titles.
With our kind of music, a track title is just a random word that is associated to a track, so i like it to be as non-nonsensical and/ or funny as possible. And I always liked the old techno tradition of giving tracks just numbers or letters.

i don't make a single track without a real life event of person in mind. title is usually a poetic description of the story i'm telling. |

for me it's totally different from track to track. sometimes i have the title in my mind before i sequence the first notes and sometimes i'll start thinking of a title when the track's finished. most often the title ends up as a quite abstract "description" of the story i want tell with the track... |

I have tons of names it happens in a nuthshell to invent a new one, I find it much harder if not the hardest to invent a real story in techno music.

for album titles ask us israelis:
- when music fails words speaks
- the world is yours (banks are ours)
- higher than never
- knee to the universe
- destination not known

Sometimes i ask friends or ppl who are listening to my stuff when im producing or showing it which word they think of.....and they tell me and if its cool i use it.It depends on how deep the track is.Someitmes it has to do with the sample.Sometimes it has something to do with what is happening in ur life.
