i'm working with someone on a track and we finished it... at his studio the track sounds right. when we export it and listen to it in the car or living room stereo, the bass is too enveloping and the mid's are not defined enough.

what are some probable causes for this?           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

...each setup ( room, monitor, amp ) has it s own frequency responce, some are more suitable, some less.

if u re doing your work on flat monitors/good acoustical room ( not too much reverb/bass response...) it should sound similar.

chk monitor-threads what ppl like here, read some acoustic theories.

It is good to have a (or some) small cd player, 'ghettoblaster' or something like that in your studio (or ur friends studio) so u can burn ur sound on a rw and listen on different systems between mixing.
Pc speakers are also good

And u can take the ghettoblaster and walk through the house and listen in different rooms and in the garden, different environments

hehe, you guys are right.... my monitors are BM6A which are great, but where we composed most of the track the monitors are not as good...
i think we will make the mix at my place and see if we get diffrent (better) results.

good suggestions thank you           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
