Deliver Us From Evil comp.
does anyhone know where the vocal sample (your my only teenage dream, if you know what i mean...) comes from in this track? it is really dance-y sounds like it might be a goth/industrial song from the 80s/90s...
just curious..thanks

Rob Zombie?? hahah, it sounds NOTHING like Rob Zombie..

It's a song by an early EBM/industrial group Chemlab called 'Codeine, Glue and You'.

"Like a shot of speedway methadrine coming on like a hot-head machine she's my only teenage dream if you know what I mean"

I really like this track too. Actually, I think the song is really boring and cheesy with the choir until this sample starts at the 4:00 mark. Anyway, what do you think the lyrics mean?

I found the complete lyrics to the song on Google:

"my fire's burning low as my song grinds out on the radio, i just want to move you slow and low and shoot my eight ball in your corner pocket hole, "life's a gas" or so its seems you know i blow a fuse when you come in my dreams, i've got this fear no kiss can cover i know we need no help to hurt each other, if 6 were 9 i'd lose my mind i go crazy for you all of the time little motorhead don't you whine there'll be some peace at the end of the line, if six were nine if 6 were nine; Don't Listen- Demolition - The Devil is Sick- The Devil Hates Sex- Don't Hate Sex - Don't Live Sick- Like a shot of speedway methadrine coming on like a hot-head machine she's my only teenage dream if you know what I mean"

I think there's a lot of references to hardcore drug use, probably heroin. "eight ball in your corner pocket hole", "there'll be some peace at the end of the line" and of course "Like a shot of speedway methadrine".           Kent

I wonder where the choir was sampled from actually... I LOVE the way it starts, with those beautiful vocals and the Latin (i suppose) sample, it sounds really epic and special...
I wonder if maybe Talk-Sick themselves might pour some light over where this was sampled from, because i don't think anyone else knows

i asked the project themselves concerning the samples and all I got was a bzzzzz.
but anyway an excellent track and the best way to close a dark set.
