Not saying rape doesn't exist or bad things don't happen. That story is really, really shitty and I'm sure there are unfortunately more examples of that.
Again though Venom, what country do you live in?
Fellow USA trancers, have any of you ever heard of anything remotely like this happening at an event? In 8 years I haven't. I've never even seen a fight. Not saying that if I haven't seen it it hasn't happened, but the scene is so small here something like that would...have an impact.
However, I only go to psy events - I have friends from other scenes that have similar horrible stories :\

I haven't heard any such stories in 19 years I've been in this scene traveling across the Globe.
I m not saying rape does not happen. But I do think it's being blown a bit out of proportion in this debate regarding rapes in the psytrance scene. If I am wrong please prove me wrong. And I seriously doubt any organizer would try to cover up a rape if found out. Too much speculation is going on here and way to few facts.

Maybe because most Goa/Psytrance isn't shuffled.
The more techy Progressive tunes which are shuffled sound a lot sexier. |
