I wanna buy monitors. There are too much, and I'm very confused on which.
1. Alesis Passive
2. Tannoy Reveal
3. Samson Resolv 65
I can afford all, but the big question - which one?
What are the pros and cons of each model?
I just don't know what to do

I have Samson Resolv 65 and i must say for the price they are pretty good... I used to have the JBL 4206 and the Samson sound more new age... and the JBL i feel sound more true...and real..
Its all a matter of taste... but I personally have been wanting the Tannoy Reveals for the longest time... The sound in that is a bit bassy.. but I just love it... and I believe those should be the next set of monitors I will buy! |

In most cases active speakers is a big lie.. unless u r willing to pay very good money for a very good speaker
Do u really know what quality amp is in the speaker u buy? say u buy active tannoy reveal...
maybe the amp that in your living room is better

Ive said it a hundred times, but still Alesis m1 mk2 active is realy realy good for the price...

only way to really choose a monitor is to take a CD or two that you know *intimately* - you have heard it on your old monitors, your hi-fi, your walkman, your car stereo, over a club-PA - and play it through them
if the shop wont let u do this they dont deserve your money

I've seen Tannoy Reveal Passive (the red ones i think) and they worked really good with cheap amp plugged to it.
It costed less with the amp than it costs in Active mode.
Consider it!
BTW Halilit has "Mivtza" now on Roland monitors. They cost 2500~ Shekels. Be sure to check them out also. Some say it's a crap, some say it's quite good.
