I wanna make a remix, nothing too complex, just to mess around, What softwares do you guys recommend for a newbie? any equipment?
I have a computer:

SB Live

equipment:
2 CDJ 100s
1 Mixer w/ 2 channels

thanks,

Hi...
I would recomend you try and use Fruity Loops.
However you would need to step program as many softwares... and Make the same melody.. Another alternative is take sample s of the track and build around it... Try Reason from Propellorheads after your more used to software interfaces...
Since the sound in  Fruity Loops is not excellent

Thanks,
what I want to do is use a chorus of a known music and remix it with a fast and agressive bassline something on the full-on style.

is it too hard?

Saying that Deedrah already remixed a song is like saying that AP already made a track.

or in my case, in a worst way :P hehe

Guys, I got Fruity Loops 3, and I was messing around with it I already know the basics, and how it works.. but my questions are:
1) How do I filter the bassline of the "non-psy" track I want to remix? is it something hard to do? is the there a special tool?

2) I did a bassline in Fruity, but it doesn't sound powerfull enough to move a dancefloor, are there any tips?

3) should I leave fruty and start messing with Reason?

thanks.
