I think you are quite correct. Isratrance is at a low right now and that makes me sad. Say what you will about the futility of discussing in forums, but I think it is pretty damn amazing that we have this technology available to us, to participate in discussions with thousands of people around the world who share ones interests.
Im trying to do my part to raise the tone of the forum.
and I do have some suggestions:
I think people should give more attention to the Trance Art and Links sections (and keep giving attention to Equipment and Music Creation).
I think the trance forum is boring because we've pretty much discussed everything and we know where people stand and can usually predict who will say what.
The Art and Equipment and Music Creation forums, on the other hand offer endless possibilities for discussion that is actually helpful, sharing techniques and discoveries about how to make the coolest stuff ever and thereby facillitating the spread of coolness.
The links forum is good because it is a place where trancers can get together and talk about other things than trance. Web pages can be discussed, critiqued etc and the general intellectual tone of the forums could be raised if more people posted there, and actually discussed/debated the links that are posted.
Those are my ideas!!
