I think that this is a very messed up topic since Anime and Cartoons are two way different things.
Seeing Ghost In The Shell,Akira and Perfect Blue (glad to see someone knows this masterpiece) in the same topic with Lion King,Captain Nemo and Shrek makes me wonder if the majority of people know the differences between Anime and Cartoons not only in visual terms but mostly in their deeper meanings.
I think that Anime needs a topic of its own
