man if you consider this good music you need to get your head and ears checked. It is a terrible album in every way. I'd have gone Fuel over this for sure!

						| you can't argue on people taste in music or in any other art form.
each person has a different taste and the music touches each soul in a different way.
and to say that someone needs to get his head and ears checked because he loves a certain album or a certain type of music or any other art form is rude and closed-minded.

sometimes we love the same things and sometimes we don't and if you don't, just say you don't but don't say bad things on the people who do love it.
 it's not very mature.

anyway I love the Black Album as well !
 and if you don't, sergeantpepper666, it's ok !
but there is no reason you should check your head and ears.

 Love&light !

						| your right mate.
Ok then fro m the Black albumalways signalled the end of what was a reasonable thrash metal band. but now I have gone back and listened to all my metallica albums, and to be quite frank, hetfield's singing always ruined what was a great. you can tell this by how good all the cover albums done by others sound so much better vocals wise

 my top 10 90's:

 1.	Fear Factory – “Demanufacture”

 2.	Soundgarden – “Superunknown”

 3.	Green Day – “Dookie”

 4.	The Prodigy – “Experience”

 5.	The Infnity Project – “Mystical Experiences”

 6.	Shpongle – “Are You Shpongled?”

 7.	The Presidents Of The United States Of America- “S/T”

 8.	Pantera – “Cowboys From Hell”

 9.	Cannibal Corpse – “Gallery of Suicide”

 10.	Guns n’ Roses – “Use You Illusion I & II”

most are for the memories of those bands and the listening to them, but also on th music merits as wel
I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy! |

whatever mate. I know you'll never beleive anything I say coz you've got issues from other forums from years ago
And just for the facts, I do like dark psy. I also have a heap of progressive, suomi, old goa/psy, techtrance, acid techno, drum n bass, minimal techno, house and chillout/ambient.

It just so happens that the market at parties over here has more spots for dark psy dj's so that's what I play for now to get more gigs

secondly, even meltallica have said the Black album was bit slack in terms of actual music skill because they were so burnt out from ...And Justic For All.

The reason the general population, or 20 whatever you said, like it, is because it uses a lot more basic rock based rhythms in guitar and drums and appeals to the dumbed down "pop" market who in general would never listen to most heavy metal because they can't see beyond the vocals to the brilliant talent that most of them have.

Take the music from say "Master of Puppets" track and compare it to "Enter Sandman" and you will soon see that "Enter Sandman" is a very basic track by their standards. Plus the fact that the video clip used a lot of similar imagery from popular movies at the times helped.

There's a reason why true metal fans know that Master of Puppets was their peak and what followed was generally mediocre crapola designed to earn $$$.

 The band admit it themselves.

It's one of their shittier albums by musical writing standards, but good on it for appealing to the general "pop" crowd like yourself and lining their pockets to sue any fan who downloads a track or burns a cd or opens a P2P site
  You funded them!
