I'm almost positive they came together in Los Angeles.
Are you talking about the guys with the big hit "Schism" and "Sober"?
If so, I don't see how they are even remotely related to psy-trance.
Cool band if you are into stuff lake Jane's Addiction and to a lesser extent early Metallica.

1. Tool - Proggressive rock band, great music with nice distortion and great lyrics...
2. Tul - An israel trance group, used 2 work with the bionic Rec. crew, dont know what they're doing these days...
