too much emphasis on bassline?

It's great when people perform their own music, but most of the live-acts i saw (with only few exceptions) were people dj-ing their own music on a computer, just adding a few sound effects and playing a little bit with the filters and envelopes on a pre-programmed synth-line.
Back in the good old days people used to practice playing instruments and then a few of those people would get on a stage and IMPROVISE, going with the flow of the other musicians and the crowd. And i think there is nothing that can beat the feeling when everything comes together and the vibe just spirals off into space. In psytrance you just don't see that very often. I saw a few electro acts that did more of a live performance: playing their instruments live, and i have to admit that it was awesome. It would be nice to see that in psytrance. |

it's a pitty but in psy-trance at least sometimes a live act is not a live act...
i know of a lot ogf producers that only use their CDJs when playing live... (djing?)
i blame it on those soft-synth producers... |

there's not much else to making the music itself other than that!:-) especially with the formulatic bass+kick shit....hehe:)
if u wanna see a band tho there are plenty of bands out there...
but good luck hearing more htan an hour or 2 before they get tired!:D great thing about electronic music is u can go for hours without getting tired.
also with electro vs psy, electro's just a hugely amount simpler:)

most electro lines are slower, 130bpmish 3 note melodies that are played on what every bar? and then the arpeggiator usually is playing the 1/8 notes... it's really easy stuff....
goa has always been very complex, but psy not so, but still psy is very computer oriented with step sequencing. adn still ther'es a bunch of sounds on top... |

you make a baseline in 2 seconds,
you can make an electro tune very easy, you know just the right ingredients for it...
and on the contrary all you talk about is how formulatic and how bad things are... and how djs suck and everything...
to me its not a logical calculation...
why is everything so easy for you and why havent i heard about this great man before, called Woggle?

No offence m8, im just looking at it from my screen and its not so positve things that you say...
anyway didint you talk about baselines?... when you came to Dj´s i lost interest...

Yes i agree GTN... and i think i have wasted enough, its time to leave this forum behind and work on some visions instead.. this place is a time trap with nothing good coming out of it.
i feel so much negative energy on this board that im feed up... mybe all the negative energy is in my mind... but i feel more warmth in some other forums so i dont know!
im just out of here for good and it feels good...

on the ease of doing things, yes things are easy to make in terms of sound, but the complex thing to do is step away from that mold, that is what takes effort.
and maybe u have heard of me under a different moniker?:-)
