Also, putting your head ni the speakers happens only when you are on some kind of D.

but then 3 hours of rest and I am back again....

I've seen clean people doin' the same shit, fascination does not depend on being high!!!

Yes a couple of hours of sleep can help, but it still not healthy for your ears, but the question is....who cares?

The type we are talking about is not always reversible. When you hear a sound, the vibrations cause tiny hairs inside your cochlea (part of the inner ear) to move. This movement is then converted into electrical signals that are sent to the brain for proccessing. If the volume is too high, these tiny hairs can be damaged or flattened completely and it's not like they spring back into action after having a bit of a rest. They stay damaged.

Yeah this is DANGEROUS
This condition is called TINNITUS - Irreversible

You will get small bursts of hearing loss where ringing occurs in the ear or your hearing is muffled. If you persist in damaging your ears this will get worse and worse over years until you get constant high pitched ringing. This WILL drive you mad and scare the shit out of you. I have spoken to two DJ's who have this in one of their ears.

LOOK AFTER YOUR EARS.

They have a cure for that ringing syndrom now. I read it in a Norwegian newspaper.

Well that's one possible consequence yes, but another is loss of certain frequency ranges. Individual hairs detect different frequencies so if a certain set are damaged then it can muffle what you hear in that range - essentially you can become deaf to certain frequencies. Generally the top end is first to go. Think about an elderly person whose hearing has been impaired with age and has trouble with details/speech/high pitched noises. It's a similar effect. Defnitely not something you want to happen as a music maker/spinner/lover.

Forest Dreams, if you like loud music like you say, you better take care or one day might be your unluky day....(hopefully youŽll enjoy the loud sounds until old )

I think many people are not taking this subject seriouslly, and its quite a very important thing...You may think "fuck it" now, but if you get a problem than youŽll think, "shit, why wasnŽt I more carefull?"

Some ppl that get ringing in the ears actually have to go for psychological support, since they canŽt cope with the contant buzz in their ears....

Wearing protection devices specifically made for music, as said b4 are the best option, you still "feel" the power of the music, and after a minute or so your brain gets used to it and you donŽt even notice its lower(just the same way your brain gets used to being near to loudspeaker and you donŽt notice how fucking loud that shit is...) you can actually hear things and people much better with them, without damaging your ears

You can buy some cheap protectors like these ( http://www.deafequipment.co.uk/store/viewProduct.do?id=1972 )
for about 15 euros, and then if you really get into it, you can have custom made for about 200.

1. That was a movie.
2. Why do you think I'm selling it? .. I got tierd of all the monkeys and penguins singing easter carols while doing E. And those god dAMN cows! Always trying to jump out of the second floor. I dont know why, but they think hey have the ability to actually fly to the moon. - Not to speak about all the hippies coming each winter to the south side of the island. All they do is to hug trees and float 3 cm over the ground.
3. I dont know what the skazi I'm talking about. But it feels nice.

Anyway. The island isn't for sale anymore. I changed my mind. But all are welcome to visit. There will be served beautiful fruits and dead cows with superman capes. Bring your own ketshup.

A bid you good night.

I see you're point, and what floatyhippyflower has to say.. it does scare me, and ofcoarse i do care... now, I want to exploit this situation just enough so as to still not get any problems of deafness.. or titinus in the future, let alone hear that buzzing sound in my ears! maybe il try & use pretection, but dont know if il conbtinue using it... depending on the effect! but just might consider keeping a lil more distnce from the speakers, I mean a lot of people do stand back dont they? and yeah, Ive already started controlling loud volumes at home.. espeacially when I listen to some heavy metal!
