what I have to say is that loud music is not for everywhere ,for example if you try to listen much loud music in small indoor place, then you loose quality...that why always listening outdoors is the best way,the louder the better...

Playing loud music realy damages your ears people, i used to listen to music in very high volume and also at many parties i used to dance right next to the speaker. Now i know that my hearing is fucked up cuz i can't hear things in normal volume, it's just not enough for me and i need higher volume than usual.
I try not to bomb the speakers anymore, listen a bit lower, but the problem is in my car, i just can't play music low in the car, i close the windows and put on high volume, the stereo effect and quality of sound just makes me turn up the volume everytime... |

It maximizes your hearing untill it breaks them down. Use, and abuse. As in all life =)

Any form of loud music is bad for health thats why I listen to music in office and home at normal volume even though it dosnt sound that nice but then need to protect my ears. In Parties you cannot help but enjoy them in loud volumes. Also, putting your head ni the speakers happens only when you are on some kind of D. It is clearly mentioned in Erowid that doing D will reduce your sound perception
Last week when I came out of party, my ears were numb and I felt like I am going deaf but then 3 hours of rest and I am back again....

may be in a party... but I have had this feeling even at a rock concert/show! at an iit fetival, this band called 'moksha' were playing covers! when they started playing 'coming back to life'.. I was standing in front of those huge ass speakers still not getting enough of the song! the lead guitar was just buzzing in my head.. and at time, that I wasnt on acid

There are many kinds of hearing loss/damage, some of which is reversible depending on what the problem is.
The type we are talking about is not always reversible. When you hear a sound, the vibrations cause tiny hairs inside your cochlea (part of the inner ear) to move. This movement is then converted into electrical signals that are sent to the brain for proccessing. If the volume is too high, these tiny hairs can be damaged or flattened completely and it's not like they spring back into action after having a bit of a rest. They stay damaged. Loud headphones are a massive cause of hearing loss but really, we all ought to be looking after out ears and protecting them in any situation where the music is particularly loud.
