I've tried it fairly extensively ... and still consider Gladiator 2 the better, more flexible synth by far.

Just my opinion mind           .

"it’s the next generation of high-end audio equipment." quote from their site lol , listening the sample there is something i don t like in the sound but i m sure it can make some great ones like all synths.. the caractere i don t like much but maybe in a mix it can sound good, it really sound like a tone2 product or maybe it s the demo sample.. i was listening some es2 demo that blew me away and this electrax just sound like crap after from their sample on the site

On the other hand Gladiator 2 is one of the best synths out there ... although it does sound like everything has been through a root note static phaser ... which I quite like actually, and makes psychoacoustic sense too!

I'd try both products ... and see which is the better for you. I would agree with PoM that maybe I'd prefer to get sounds out of es2 over electrax ... but I wouldn't go the other way - I'd far prefer to generate sounds out of gladiator 2 than es2, in fact I'd go so far to say that gladiator 2 has become a real go to synth in my studio - shit presets though - but it does things I've not seen on any other synth, good things at that, and that is always worth having.

For a 'workhorse' like es2, I'd suggest Waldorf Largo as the place to start, and stop if you were looking for something new.

ive been using gladiator for quite a while, and im very happy with the results obtained, same thing goes for largo, but i thought tone 2's new vst would blow them away! , guess the bet thing is to try it out myself
