i recently asked Andy Pledger if he did any mods,
he said he used to but evryone would ask for these mods then complain that it no longer sounded like a 303
People eh!
Surely there must be someone in your kneck of the woods who could look at it and find the shitty components , only a thought,
and seeing as no one has mentioned the TT303 ill do it
seems like a good appropriation (i wonder why roland let them do it really)

I asked Andy for mods as well, but he did say that it would not sound as "303" as the clean versions.
Hence, I said no. Clean good sounding x0xb0x to start with, another modded one later on at some point.
Agreed about the TT-303, some people say its even closer to the TB than the x0x. Could be cause it looks exactly like one as well http://soundcloud.com/martianarts

mines ok, but im constantly waiting for something to go wrong, hasnt yet. but yeah not the greatest build around
gonna get pots replaced and sell it, why
i spent years dreaming of owning one , and once i got it
realised that it only does one thing, up or down
whearas i want a 303 that can go sideways(lol)
so will be replacing it with DINSYNC modules
a more authentic version and more options,( mods not necessary)

roland can no longer make analog, FACT
they moved all their manufacturing over to digital, but i think theres been a meeting somewhere down the line cos its identical,
unless the schematics are in public domain now,

hm, i dunno, whenever i hear: "roland cannot make analogue synths any more" i do not understand that.
i mean they might have moved their mass production facilities towards digital techniques, yes. but even if you would want to make a new company and start up making analogue synths from scratch its possible, just a longer way then for other companies maybe.
so why should roland not be able to do that, if they really wanted to?
is it likely is another question after all.

i dont think it just about the abiliuty to do it, you have to talk the SHAREHOLDERS into it as well, who would only see it being worth if they could do a couple of hundred thousand or there abouts
Korg did it the right way, monotron to MS20
little steps that are cheep and pay for the R'n'D
so i reckon rolands had a hand in that TT303
or it might be like you said, a small side company

i check the TT and to me it dont nail it.. there is still a gap between 303 magic and TT.
i think it s better to go to what sound best even if it fail as beeing a accurate clone ... cause it seems the real thing is the only way to go for one that is after true 303 sound
i find a great accurate comparaison yesterday and the real thing destroyed the tt.. the TT is sterile sound closer to a VA

these modules dont re-sell which tells you what they must be like
i was happy with mine until now?
