here are few options for u;

1. sell ur slot nd make money from it......
2. Play bollywood in that slot
3. do not play any music during that slot and ask for hefty amount to play some music....
4. or else....play fr urself

cheers!!!           Studies indicate that listening to music is good for digestion.

or some psybreaks.

you're a dj. use it as a challenge. try to find some compromise between what you usually play (or your own musical tastes) and the expectation of the crowd and promoter. you can use this as an opportunity to possibly open up some minds to something different. and it should be kind of exciting for you to play something outside of your normal "comfort zone." i remember mood delux has a track that goes from psybreaks to 4x4 psy. you can use it as a transition between psybreaks and psy. after you observe the reaction to psy, you can decide where you want to continue with psy or go back to psybreaks. principles of flight also has a psy track that ends in dnb. you can play that to at least "perk up" some ears. i don't know about czech republic, but here in the states a lot of dnb heads also love banging techno. so if that's the case, i would also try to play some tech-trance or techy influenced psy. dnb is typically pretty repetitive, with a lot of emphasis on atmosphere. so on the psy side, i think stuff like deviant species should go over better than some more synth-y full on.

in any case, what have you got to lose?           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

I got nothing to loose and a lot of will to play and thats why i´ll do it (maybe) or else i would not do it at all...trust me tough crowd and hard "atmosphere"...i know the D7b scene around here!!!

First i know how to dj but i´m not a dj. Djing is what i can do now while i cannot perform live (not enough tracks made or knowledge to really play life)...so my dj set has actually 3 of my own tracks and it´s my start in terms of performing. Second, i want to dj stuff i like and understand. I know shit of techno or drum7bass. Moreover i never mixed drum7bass and though the principles are the same for any given music you at least have to know your tracks which in the case of drum7bass i know not....cause i got none!!! But the psy breaks thing is one to follow...thanks!!!!

But i´ll let you guys know how it went and post some pics...can see everyone is craving for some bloodlust

Thanks for the encouragement though

Someone mentioned Mood Deluxe. The into to their track "Wrong Way" (I believe) would be a great way to fuck with this crowd

Most genres of dance music are way easier to mix than psytrance because they are more regular and tend to start immediately with a beat and stick to a very regular phrase structure.

The main difference between mixing dnb and psytrance I would say is that with dnb (at least with some types of dnb) you can usually be a little bit less strict with your bass EQ because the bassline usually doesn't kick in until after you've mixed over completely anyhow.

On the other hand, you have to watch your highs a bit more, dnb has lots of high content (lots of snares and hihats). It also might be harder to beatmatch for a beginner because it doesn't have a regular beat (the best way to start is to go by the snares, since most dnb tracks have a snare on the 2 of every bar).

Might want to make sure they actually will have CDJs at the party. I don't know about the czech scene but I've been to and heard of many dnb parties in various places where everyone still plays vinyl.
