my comment was no meant to be helpfull at all..just i don't get why ppl dont share patchs specially for sounds that are abused..if it s abused it mean evryone know how to do it, then why hide it to beginers?

To be honest, most of you are just being negative. If he wants to produce night-psy then it would be valuable to start with the fundamentals. The sound might be used a lot but you don't ever see people bitching about the shittonne of 303's used in full-on and goa. Stop being so goddamn uncooperative and narrow-minded.
I bet there was a time when each of you wanted to know how to program a specific sound that you really digged so give him a fucking break.
@aciduss, while something might seem simple to you it might not seem as simple to someone who hasn't been producing for as long as you. Isn't that obvious?
I would like to think that the psytrance community is one of the places left where people don't feel intimidated the whole time >_<

btw to the dude who asks and anyone else who asks about this sound in the future. There is a hoover preset in Sylenth that comes with the standard patches. Just mess around with it and add distortion.
And to PoM : I've commented in a thread about this lead before and it was of help to many people so you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Calm down bro.

yes i understand ...often same sort of topic i don't even post usually ,but found it funny, the guy was asking nicely and he got a rude answer
snowdogg forgot to take his chill pills that morning maybe 
but i dont really understands this mentaly..if a guy ask me for a sound i made i would happily explain how i did it , even share it.
why not ? there is no money involved, it s just a psy lead..it worth nothing ,so really i don t get why ppl hide stuff and want keep secret.. we would make music with lot of money involved i would understand, but some psytrance |

Of course it is obvious that's why I tried to help on a post directed to u in the first place. That's why I come around here most of the time, to help and connect with producer dudes.
I've asked for many many 'simple' sounds in this forum but I always do so after diving the search engine which is a little bitchy but it does work if you are logged in and follow the right steps.
Simply by browsing the last 10 pages one could find many post regarding this kind of sounds.
I also asked you specific questions in the spastic squelch thread about your method on this acid leads cause I kinda like them, but you might missed those.
Anyway we should have a sticky for some of the most asked sounds... and no, the mother of leads thread is not that, that is jut a single unorganized thread of massive advice by a very wide range of users, from noobs to pros.
Or perhaps a Sylenth1 Isratrance SoundBank... that gives me an idea... perhaps if i find the time.
anyway peace all of u... message to newcomers from my side would be just: Most isratrancers like to help just do your homework before posting and maybe explain some of your background so we know how specific you need the help to be.

Solid idea  It's a bit of a mission browsing through that huge thread to look for one sound.
I've noticed you're always quick to help though which is awesome
Oh yeah... about that lead inquiry. Like I said I basically just edited the Hoover patch till I was satisfied haha. Most of those night-psy leads are based on that patch afaik

Hahaha there you have your structure...
Really is not that hard man, also I like to use synths that have dedicated envelopes like nord / disco / synth1 which feature an envmod just for pitch mod, fm, pw and just an attack & decay knobs so there you can easily pitch up the second osc and use the mix to listen just that one.
I've seen guys achieve this sounds by gliding notes like 2 octaves apart which in theory is very similar than a the slide achieved through the pitch mod technique.
I still enjoy a lot the hitek leads I just get tired if it is used in the same way over and over, some tracks use the same lead all the time.
Some people can't get enough of it, is ok i guess we all have phases.

this is the best place on the internet to ask any psytrance production question, it is a psytrance production forum, not just for advanced pro producers, but also for the people who know nothing. if you have read too many "how do you make this sound?" threads, why do you still read them. the search thing in this forum is not good for finding things and there is so so so many pages going back years and years. so why not just ask? |

Ahm... maybe you are right, this is a place to start, to seek for guidance, maybe is because i've been into much more organized and strict forums that I tend to act this way.
I think that information could be much more useful if sorted and not lost in a sea of "how do i squelch" ocean of threads.
To be honest I get in here while at work when I'm bored and / or have some free time. I like to help people out, but I like better to help people who help themselves first.
Maybe there should also be a section for advanced production, sometimes I wish I could read some more interesting stuff in here... but hey that's just me.
I come here because it reminds me of production when I'm away from the studio. I like "how do i make sound" threads because most of the times I can help as i've been helped b4. |

that is a good idea to have advanced and beginer, the serch is so crap on here and it is sometimes very hard to find what you are looking for. everyone started somewhere some people started a long time ago.... but some have started yesterday, and may well go on to be the next ace ventura one day. |

If someone has to ask how to make this lead just2 days after it was explained AGAIN they are not an active member of this forum and very nonchalant. If they had just browsed the first page of this subforum they would find alll they ask for. It's just plain lazy ans stupid not to even bother reading!!
