I liked this sounds but then I went to a party at wich Alienn played after Kophat... it was about 3 hours of same preset... wtf is wrong with this guys? not even morning psy is that cheesy  |

I also feel this is one of the silliest sounds in psy-trance that became a massive trend.
Too bad cause some tracks in this style have some nice ideas in the background...when you can hear the background stuff playing that is...
"Hi-tek" and using the same basic detuned unison saw preset for every god damn tune?
I any case, I understand people getting stuck to some noises they like and hope he learns how to make this sound quickly so he can bore him self to death with it and move on to better sounds

wtf is the problem for helping someone make a certain sound? Years ago it was the same story for the fullon kbbbk bass sounds. No one wanted to share their settings/patches. Why? Because the competition gets bigger when everybody swims (pisses?) in the same pool? Because no one wanted to help you when you were trying to find the sound? By now them basslines come in presets right out of the box...
If it's really so worn out and boring why wouldn't you share your knowledge? Maybe (s)he moves on quicker to other sounds because the knowledge about synthesis just got a boost by your info.

Is just that this is asked too frequently.
Ok, let's help again:
- Detuned saw lead
- You can use an LFO or an ENVELOPE (negative for this timbre) to pitch, usually ramp waveform / short to mid attack
- HP filter high resonance
- Modulate filter with LFO with a triangle or sine wave
I don't give a fuck about competition or people wanting to get the psysounds... i have posted numerous times asking for the same stuff but then again, there is a SEARCH function... one can dive into this forum for a long time before having to ask for the 3dvision style lead once again.
Simply playing with pitch modulations on any synth will render many of the most used psy sounds... |
