Do you get that wierd noise when turning off your computer while the amp/monitors are on?
I usually turn off the amp before I turn off the computer, but sometimes I forget about it and the noise is quite spooky

He He, it comes with all the sound cards and speakers i think...
It's originated in shutdown pulse which is translated in speakers into this spooky noise you are mentioning.
BTW it's better to turn off the monitors before you shutdown the PC. The DC signals can burn your monitors faster than very loud signals.

That's why I allways turn down the volume when I shut down my PC. Be carefull there.

You mean that this harmless sounding sound is dangerous?

Yes DC can harm your speakers, try to avoid it as much as possible. The better the speaker the more they are sensitive to this kind of noises. Also when connecting and disconnecting them when they are on can make the same "dangerous" sound.
It won't always make harm but there's always the chance it will.
If your PA will be damaged in some way and will send DC signal in the output, your monitor will suffer!

I don't, but the Delta control panel keeps resetting every time I reboot Logic! I keep having to unmute the inputs when I go to record audio.... pissing me off! ...and I have tried saving the changes |
