I have an AMD Turion on my laptop, and since it is an HP, you know that it cannot be tweaked much on bios.
BUT, I got Ntune and it just gave me another 220 mhz extra on each core !!!
here, read the article and install.
I used the Coarse Tunning and it just adjusts it to the MAX without having crashes or stability problems, it only crashes while Tunning, and just restart the computer, it will load Ntune atomaticly until its stable.
Really amazing tool.

Another thing I must say, on my laptop I got a dual boot, both windows Tiny Vista for Internet and video and Tiny XP for all studio and music mobile production, and it got a bit more CPU on Vista, but just a bit more.

No, didnt find 3 hours spare to sit in front of the laptop and reboot everytime it gives a blue screen until final tunning results.
Will do so in the future, coarse tunning worked great so far.

You could always set your system to automatically restart on system halt...
I'm going to give it a try and see what kind of results I can get.

Yes, but, since I got dual boot, it will restart as first choice Vista, and when Im interested booting to XP, I have to manually choose XP as my boot choice.

Just change default to XP then
Anyway I'm overclocking my A64 X2 manually. More fun this way.
2000hz when I bought it, 2300hz now.

This utility is ment mostly for laptops, that are limited on bios options, such as HP laptops.
I also do it manually on my main PC, its a AMD dual core 4800, originally 2.4ghz each core, I run it at 2.52 ghz each core and stable.

Make sure to watch all your temps with a utility like Everest. I'd also suggest getting an external fan docking station for your laptop if you don't have one yet, and are overclocking it. |

I think it should still work because the program is not only for graphics overclock, but for most other system clocks as well. |

This utility is targeted for the NVidia NForce chipsets on the motherboard (which run things like system memory, bus to your pci cards, etc). This is completely seperate from nVidia video cards. NForce has chipsets for both intel & amd based processors.
ATI, to my knowledge, is only doing video, so that is slightly irrelevant. Check the north/south bridge chipset type if you can in your specs.
