Hi. You are the ones who create the music and help us to feel good in this special kind of way. Gracias for that.

As you know there are a lot of guys and girls like me who started as a consumer than became a bedroom or hobby dj just for fun and now we want to join the league of producers. Why ? Because we want to give something back. I am very seriuos. Not everybody is thinking about $$ ( I really hope so)
For this people there do exist a lot of questions.

What I want to say is this.
We know that nothing becomes real without hard work.
But maybe you can bring some light into the darkness.

How important is it to know people(other producers, party organizers, DJ s) when you want to come up in front of the crowd?

How much time did you invest when you started to program tracks?

Have you had a nother job before you came up with your music?

How much time do you spend now with working on your music?

Was it hard to get through the technical site of producing?(learning to use the programs, your equipment)

Have you had help on your way?

Did you take special courses ( like audio engineering or programming)

Were there times when you were fed up with things and just wanted to break it up?

Did you had to sell your soul sometimes so you could come one step closer to your target?

What is the major thing that you would say to someone who has started to work on this thing and wants to come up?

For myself I can say that I will work hard.
And if I don`t come up, at least I will have some fun and meet new people.

So ladies and gentlemen. I hope at least some of you will answer some of my questions.

Keep the spirit alive and don`t stop the rock

MORE FAIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Thank you !!!!

Sometimes it's more important what questions you ask than what the answers are to them. You look like you got things under control Zekland

I'd say just follow your heart.
Peace and good will bro...           # ** Quick, get in, lets take a ride to another dimension! **

I am not an artist yet because i did not yet release anything but all i can tell you man is that the best way to learn is meet professional artists who show you the best way to make music. It's a long way and you pass through many things in your quest of making music but it's beautiful because when you get to the real result of it all it's wow man it's beautiful and can always get better. I will answeryour post because i understand what it means to be a beginner.

How important is it to know people(other producers, party organizers, DJ s) when you want to come up in front of the crowd?

It's very important i think that you get to know people and you earn their respect for what you really love!

How much time did you invest when you started to program tracks?

8 - 12 hours a day

Have you had a nother job before you came up with your music?

yes i used to be an accountant hehehehe now fulltime and broke but happy

How much time do you spend now with working on your music?

6 - 8 hours a day

Was it hard to get through the technical site of producing?(learning to use the programs, your equipment)

very hard and still learning always

Have you had help on your way?

Yes i did meet other pro's and they helped us a lot in fact we made our sound 5 steps ahead when we learn other things and processes

Did you take special courses ( like audio engineering or programming)

I took a theory course and learbt engineering and programming by myself

Were there times when you were fed up with things and just wanted to break it up?

No never i love it too much but there were times when nothing was satisfactory

Did you had to sell your soul sometimes so you could come one step closer to your target?

No i think actually i transmit my soul through the music or try to anyway

What is the major thing that you would say to someone who has started to work on this thing and wants to come up?

Look deeper into everything and think about quality, clarity and feeling the deeper you go the better the result. Do not think about time think about how beautiful u can make the track, think about detail also is very important. Always keep in mind the mix of the sounds it's a very tricky part. Most of all Good luck.

you know how it goes in the market, if producers outgrow consumers the psytrance market goes down.
everyone can express itself freely, even trew music, but its a battle of survival good ones will stay others will leave, natural selection           http://www.insected.com

Well... I'll have a go

1. In terms of getting live sets/gigs it is important to know people - however, this will happen by itself when people start to know your music - make contacts though... and don't be afraid to PM/email - even if you don't sometimes get replies...

2. I've been making music every evening and weekend since I was about 10 (am 18 now) - which adds up to alot of music and hours! (when I'm not at school)

3. As said - student

4. About 4-5 hours a day (in my free time when I don't have to work)

5. The technical side is constantly expanding and developing, and therefore you can never know enough - but its also one of the most satisfying and fun aspects for me. But it's taken me a long time to beging to feel happy with my technical skills.

6. Have taught myself up until about 6 months ago when I started talking about, and discussing production with more producers - big thanks to the 'omniscient' Colin OOOD - also Fromem Ory and support of friends like Illusions...

7. No special courses (have studied and played classical music since I was 5 though)

8. Feel fed-up every day - trying to push my sound further...more satisfying in the end

9. Never sold my soul - always try keep your music personal and true.

10. My advice: Work work work work work - and enjoy the work and frustration as it'll only make you better.

"aim for the best, expect the worst"
