first of all the proper name for that is Sound card

second, i highly recommend the "RME" sound card of any kind

motu is great too, and emu is fantastic value for money, and focusrite has a very nice one too these days, and then u have digidesign, but digidesign is an option u should only choose if u want to use protools.

The creative-professional EMU cards (0404, 1212 etc.) are very good... very low latency (even without particularly great RAM) and very clean sound, minimal background noise too.           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

Luna2 soundcard.. i like it very much! the latency is 0-34 ms and it has it own effects and instruments with 3 dsp...
