did you burn the file on as a data disc?
make sure you burn it as a bootable disc.
the file you downloaded is probobly a cd image that will boot from it if you burn the image.

Please give info about what's the best version, which versions support what or please some link explaining it.
I have used the version rev5 or something, it works except for the keyboard support.
Respect!

I use rev5 and my keyboard and internet works fine.
It gave me issues with PCMCIA and firewire controller since the drivers was not included, but it's just to locate the right drivers on the internet.
On my laptop I got the system down to 32Mb memory footprint and 6 active processes on boot and running Abelton with magma box and scope software very smoothly.

The different revisions does not mean that the higher number the more updated or improved.
They are made to suit different types of uses and differ in what drivers and software that is included.
Rev 5 is the smallest in filesize and memory footprint what I could see when I was looking for info. That's good if you want as little as possible installed, but can cause you some headache if there is functionality missing that you might need.
For a DAW Rev 5 will work really good...I installed it on 5 machines with not much issues, apart from the PCMCIA and firewire as I mentioned.

Rev06 seems to be the most customizable. You can choose if you want different combinations of Microsoft stuff installed or not, you can choose if you want it to install a bunch of "Standard" drivers (or not), and there is a script you can run after install to turn many memory-taking services on/off.
It went smoothly for a few weeks for me, and suddenly I'm having some odd behavior without installing any new software or devices, so I'm going to backtrack so rev05 to see if it is the OS or if I have hardware going bad.

I have just installed TinyXP V5, so far, so good, it is really really good.
I got a AMD 4800+ and 1 gig of ram, runs awsome.
I recommend it to everybody.
Thanks.
