ok, I must say I like your idea and you're on a good way. But there are some things I would recomend you to try.
The bass is quite ok, but it can be clearly heard that it isn't processed enough. try equalizing, compressing, some reverb adding(experiment)-don't worry, you'll find your bass quite ok very soon.
Then it's the snare which I found too averige rock or pop oriented. If you just put a filter on it and lift the filter freq higher and some resonance, you'll get a smashing snare with lot's of energy. It's the same with the hihats. But don't overdo it.

The other sounds are a little bit uninterested, too low leveled. You should get put the sounds that are more important in front of those that are less important-that's mixing and good mixing comes with more tracks you'll made.
I miss a few synth lines.

These are just a few ideas I would do in your place. But I wouldn't go fixing this track, instead I'd made a few more and after a year go fix this one:)I guess you've made this in reason or fruity loops, right?

YOU ARE ON A GOOD WAY MAN, KEEP IT UP!
