Hey guys.
One of the thing i struggle with the most is percussions. Usally i end up spending very little time with them and they sound ok but not great.
You got any tips how you structure ure drumloops for a very driving beat?           .

if you have STYLUS RMX or expansion BFD3
or BFD2 or even Expansion tremor
you can create amazing percussion with that

and on top put some effects reverb like
1.waves true reverb
2.fabfilter Saturn

and record it to the new channel
and when you got new wav file you can cut it and put deffrent effect's on it like Glitch and other cool effects wave's like
1.waves enigma
2.droper

tomorrow i will week up i will make some video
how to make really liquid cool drive percussion

can you give one example which style precessions you like?           -------------------------------------------------

He meant 'tomorrow I will wake up'. Remember not everyone on here has English as their first language.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

yeh i kno, i got shitty yesterday froma post in the software section which in return i took it out on everyone else makin me look like a idiot. its cool now. my English is no better

as for midi triggered gates.. i should explain myself a little better, i assume that plugins are available to everyone within reason... and by that i mean reason not reason 6.0

ableton has a very easy way of routing EXT Duckers and triggered gates. for example if i have a percussion sample with nice drive, but i want another cool percussion to drive with this you can trigger it by sending it thru to it... it will jive to the same swing..... from then you could create ghost notes and also trigger them to other parts of a perc sample, can make interesting driving results ,also from then 1 can add fx and then also trigger these aswel with EXT triggered gates .. you can do this to most elements in fact

The result is Trigger happy
one way of many but this one good if u want2 create things in the same driving swing rather than just throwing the percs on top of eachother hoping they will fit and compliment ... set the gates amount till its tight and there ya go... Pro-G and GAG-SC is good for this, although GAG-SC (Golden.Audio.Gate) is no longer available ,ive had it for years, im sure it can be found somewhere tho.. but really any gate will do providing it got a EXT Trigger (external)

have fun
