Tips for Korg padKontrol and Ableton Live?

I'm buying a Korg padKontrol from a friend and was wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks for using it with Ableton Live. I haven't used a midi controller before, so any other tips along those lines would be great. Also, I'd like to do some live percussion playing with some chillout music, does anyone have some specific tips for this? Share any other info you got. Thanks!

i would recommend to create some drum arps with zebra or any other synth..that way you can be sure not to hit at wrong times f.e.
you could use the pads to bypass/activate fx or to trigger single clips or whole scenes...
