Released: 2010-11-01

Music has the power to move the soul and inspire emotion and reaction from the deepest parts of the human psyche. When the musician achieves the ultimate goal, a transmission of a deeper meaning and experiential adventure is undeniably apparent in their art.

Dave Tipper has just released his most epic work to date. "Broken Soul Jamboree" was years in the making; this is the sound of raw emotion oozing through thousands of hours of frequency manipulation. A lifetime of experience coalesces into a journey of audio bliss and aural tension. Dave shows us all that there truly is potential to take our music further, closer to the drum machine beating inside all of our hearts.

Immaculately designed sound sculptures, organic expression entwined with the future sound of tomorrow - this is the perfect downtempo excursion. A compliment to a sunrise, a companion for an introspective jaunt into the mind, BSJ is the anti-thesis to the trend hopping, cookie cutter "product" that dominates electronic music. There are no new sub-genres to describe the sound of a man consumed with internal expression through sonic dissolution of illusions; BSJ is a template of individuality that needs no hype machine to support it.

We truly believe if you look inside this album you will not only find the best release of 2010, but new inspiration and appreciation for the potential of electronic music!

Available now as a download bundle as well as a CD/Poster/Download package, Addictech has received the honour to share this with you first!

i'm no tipper expert, and was not listening to him years ago - so my POV is not as nuanced or "informed" as others... i mainly know Tipper from seeing him play at Shambhala out here...

beginner's mind can often be a good thing.

i love this release. It works best for me listening to it from start to finish. There's an introspective quality to it and a kind of melancholy and moodiness that runs through the album.
in contrast there are also many sweet moments, and maybe one person's sweetness is another's cheese ...

melody plays a large part in this album - and often i think that this sets the best writers / producers apart from the rest. Of course i'd rather have minimal melodic content than have crap ones, but in this album they are front and centre, and really well done.

no doubt this will make it to the top of many best of 2010 charts, and to those that pan this release i'm interested to hear why exactly and to listen to what they think is better.

I've been listening to Tipper since 03, and find this to be a spectacular album. For the record, I thought Wobble Factor was perfectly good disposable dance music, but lacked the Tipper magic.

I enjoyed this interview as well:

LOL...from his interview :

"I’ve always found it particularly tricky to ride the fine line between drama and cheese. Essentially the end product is a channeling of raw feeling, and it is indeed hard to coagulate that raw feeling into a sound pattern without misrepresenting it. There is probably an aspect of me that seeks to avoid the obvious, but generally I will lean towards whatever feels natural, even if that means doing something obvious."

he def missed the fine line this time...and slipped in the obvious...well...it happens to everyone...even to the best ones...like him...           "There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain will never improve, and that's here." Aldus

So, what exactly is cheesy runnish in this music? I smell no cheese running. Sounds very cool actually.

i listened to only half the samples before i decided to buy it. been listening to it heaps - and loving it. Great stuff!

i like it much more than his dancefloor-oriented music.

i don't think it is runnish at all...

one of the favorites of last year. sometimes cheezy yes but weird you call it runnish maux, this stuff transitions nice and smooth in DJ sets when played alongside metasurfing and mauxuam stuff.

very happy tipper went in this direction, couldn't really play previous albums out in one shot but this goes down very well. also women get into the groove when you spin select tracks from this record which is always a good indicator.
