found finally out how to get to my own presets made on vst's and stored in cubase.
its probably best to save your own presets in the instruments. for example in albino its very easy; make a folder 'own presets' and store there. but what about taupro?
when you go to programfiles, steinberg, sx3 you will see: open_cubasesx3_application doublecklick and it opens, then in the folder you can see subfolders with names of instruments which contain the presets you stored in cubase for this instrument. good to know for back-up or transport from one computer to another.
probably known by the veterans but for me (and i guess for some others) good to find out. have a nice day. |

I know Cubase will save my *active* settings for each VST. Does it save these into the .cpr file? I had thought so since I've had tracks still work after complete formats.
Some questions..
I often make several patterns for say, a Gate plugin, and switch between them during a song... Each pattern I make is one preset, it will save every single pattern I create, right?
Does it save the entire collection of presets for that instrument into the cpr file? Or at least the ones I use in the track?
I hope that was clear. |

qbase dont save yur presets , even if its on save mode , u have to save yur presets every time u make it indevidualy .
and u can save them and share them , thats what i do , and u can makeyourself a empty folder and save to ther , every vst has to have 1 , not all mixed up ,its a diferent vst s common ... hoped i helped... |

maybe it was confusing what i wrote in first post.
what i meant is: for example tau pro does not have its own presetmanagement as far as i know. so what if you made and saved some presets in cubase for tau pro and want to transfer these presets to your labtop.
to saf, and glitch sure in the cpr there are these presets but maybe you just want to transfer presets and not the whole project.
with open cubase sx application like i mentioned in beginning you can transfer the presets as one file. |
