Nice tip Axolotyl!!! New to me! Another live one one and probably well known is the follow on function in the clip settings. Make your main percussion loop (or melody) and program several bar long fills in the clips bellow and program their follow on setting to return to the first. And jam away just trigger your fills and they will automatically return to the original loop (frees your hands to continue with other work) can also set them to random (with 16th and 32th kick/snare/hi hat ect rolls) and hit record and see what comes up (can end up with some cool glitch style fills)

A method of working I was told about and want to try is to work with audio parts, and rather than open long chains of insert effects, click on audio part, select Audio in main menu --> plugins, select desired plugin, set it up, preview sound, and then process.

The Audio bit will be re-processed with sound of plugin. Then repeat process with next plugin in chain. In end will have desired sound without plugins being on. Its alternative to mixing down each channel with effects. When making a mistake you can revert to the previous audio part before the last process, i forgot the key command for this.

I've actually killed 126% of my braincells with drugs of all kinds. The only reason I'm still breathing is that the other members of OOOD donate brain-bandwidth to me.

one nice little trick i've found, and i dont know if everybody knows that, is that to zoom in and out i simply click the cursor in the blue stip that is the bars and beats ruler, hold it and drag up or down. Its zooms in or out, and if you drag left or right at the same time (in a x-y movement) you can move accordingly in the project at the same time you zoom. Needs some practice to master it right, but is very fast and usefull.
