Another useful tip for Cubase users:
If you want to listen to something on loop instead of putting the markers over the selection just select all of the portion and press Shift+G and voila it'll automatically select the markers and loop it..
Shift+F zooms the view out to your whole project

fl studio 6:
in the piano roll when using a vsti go to the browser on the left select current project>generators select the synth you are using and select a controler(ex.cutoff)right click on it and select 'edit events in piano roll'now you can edit the parameters in the piano roll editor.
also the selected parameter can be now selected in the piano roll menu on the middle top menu of the piano roll for quick access!

for kick i suggest to fix it to exect 1 beat (it duplicate and arrange it right after the sample u pick - if not fixed to the beat it wont fit) then instead 15 ctrl-D just go ctrl-K and write how many times u want it (15 will give u 16 )

Another Cubase tip:
If you want to put your markers on a certain part just highlight it & press "P" and it will place the markers for you (handy for exporting midi parts to audio)

I made keycommands (M and A) for adding MIDI or Audio channels to the project-window in Cubase, saves a lot of clicking aswell Other shortcuts i made are for I (import audio) & E (export audio).
Generally its a good idea to make key-commands for stuff you use a lot.
