Ever wondered how so many tracks sound just so good and well produced? This might be very well mastering but not quite. Here goes

Run your entire mix or some parts i dare say thru a Vocoder preferablly thru the virus ti 32band vocoder and play with the settings ,dont count out the chorus there too and feel the warm and lush sound. It sounds plasticky (in a good way tho). This can work thru any vocoder , the one in reason also prooves good results with subtractor or... Its some kinda mojo for your music. If you like invest in some old analog vocoders like the Seinheisser, Ems or roland =)

Here's the link:

http://www.abbeyroadonlinemastering.com/products.aspx

Prices also seem pretty decent for high-quality mastering.

i don't know if i'm right but i think that it's better to give your music to mastering to somebody that he is into psytracne, because he know better what you needs on the dancefloor. the abbeyroad engeneers are great but it's hard for me to believe that there is somebody of them that realy know what psytrance is. myabe i wrong. i would like to hear psytrance tracks that mastered there.

I cant really judge this by myself due to lack of expirience, but I think I would rather give my track to an expirienced master engineer than to someone who knows psytrance in and out.

I dont think that psy is so much different when it comes to mastering....

There are some people here who qualify as both. I know only of Colin OOOD and Tsabeat - but there may be more.

About the original tip. I tried to clean up a noisy recording of my little niece’s singing. Strangely enough, I got the best results by using a vocoder with both carrier and modulator signals set to the original audio. Depending on the number of bands and their position in the sound spectrum you can get a pretty clean voice or really plastic sound. But the point is – even with a single audio source you have a wide range of things you can achieve with a vocoder just by playing with the bands.

I just managed to obtain excellent quality results by sending my track through my led HD TV then routing it to my blender and coffee making machine, you just can't beat that fx chain.
