i tried somthing similar, cept that track original bpm was 138 and shifted it down to around 125 ..... it had a very nice feel to it ..... although i would recommend working with only audio rather than MIDI when time streching/pressing!
B'om!!

Always make really good music.
I tend to use one perc line at 3/4. not really atip just something that makes the track a little more interesting if needed. |

tip of the day:
If you have a lot of musical ideas at the same time, do not try to use them in the track you are currently working on. Better split them between several tracks.

So a quick tip, when you want the track to give the feeling that its slowing down or up, put an arpeggiator on the bassline running at 1/12 or 1/8 and it will give the feeling that the track is actually slowing down .....this saves the need to arrange the enveloppes and several other parameters, and the track remains solid and flowing, which it doesnt when there is sudden change of 50 bpm all at a sudden. |

innit happend to me lastnite lukly it wus only Kick and bass but still it wuz very carefully tweaked... !!it never sounds the same when u wipe the tears and try again .then u have to waite about 3-5 days for that spark of insperation and WILL to own your DAW. instead tryin to recreate what u had.. FUUCCK !
so new Rule, Save every preset in your channels for that Particular Track. from Quadrafuzz to Bitcrusher, speakerphone to etc etc

Save your channel strip settings in folders and label them correctly.
It helps a lot to label channel strips as: "kick_trance_C1_beat2thebox" for example.
So you know where to go when you wanna use a similar sound, and start tweaking to fit the new track.
Saves a lot of time when you have all your signal chain on recall and focus more on the writing, than on the opening and creating new audio instrument tracks from scratch.
