Hello.
I've tried TinyXP Rev10 with Ableton Live on my laptop.
It's a stripped version of Windows XP.
It's very very fast, uses less resources. It has less processes running on the background.
When using Live I had some glitches, abnormal distortion and somehow a "cheap sound"
even with the asio drivers....
Does anyone have this problem too?
Should I install a regular XP and stripped it down myself?

win 7 is the best microsoft os for daw... yes... if you have good hardware and want to use 64bit with lots of ram for big sample libraries.
win xp was also very good.. and still is but for 32bit only 64bit xp was very buggy, unstable and with lots driver issues with hardware.
for me there is no best.. its just what does the job you want.
