TinyXP Beast ed. on vista based lap top????

A friend of mine bought a lap top that came with vista, i suggest him to install TinyXP Beast edition, he will only be using the lap top for musica creation, and echo indigo i/o soundcard. My question is can this be possible, to change vista for tinyxp? and problems regarding pcmcia with tinyxp best ed? |

Only if you can confirm before hand that you can get XP drivers for the motherboard of the laptop.
Many Vista laptops don't have XP drivers. If you don't download the drivers first he'll be screwed. The version of TinyXP is irrelevant, even FULL versions of XP don't have drivers for many laptops and need the manufacturers disk, and the situation will be even more grim for a Vista laptop.

Well, I have installed TinyXP beast edition to my laptop.
I got an HP 6171CL, what I did is simple, I had a the basic software of HP on a dvd, so I could install basic stuff like basic drivers out of it.
Then, I figured what chipset the motherboard has and what video drivers, so I went to their sites and got the drivers (Nvidia).
