Did you download the driver from the RME website and install it?

Rev5 is the "lightest" version of TinyXP with the least amount of included drivers & Windows components, so you really need to make sure you get each and every 3rd party driver from the manufacturer.           http://soundcloud.com/aeon604

Use rev.3, heard its including abit more windows components, but more stable than rev.5. Dunno from personal experience, never tried Tinyxp (yet )

If the card is not appearing in the device manager at all I'm not sure how Tiny could cause it.
It should show up as missing drivers at least, and since I doubt RME drivers is included with XP anyway it should not matter for the card if you use Tiny or not.

The only thing I can think of that could be an issue would be if you forgot to install your chipset drivers.
In my experience the PCI bus would still work fine though.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

Hey Keystone,

There is a jumper on the rme 9632, it has something to do with protecting the card from voltage overload when booting up. Basically it introduces a lag of a couple of ms which might interfere in how your os detects your devices.

On some systems it needs to be removed (i had to do this since my os didnt detect the card either).

Try it :)

here some tips, and drivers too

http://www.driverpacks.net/ over 700 Megs stuff
http://www.nliteos.com/ 1 meg shrinks ur XP to 100
http://www.vlite.net/ same as above, just for Vista, shrinked the 4gb iso to 400 megs (yes, they included alot of bullshit inside , i guess the next windows could be released on a Blue Ray disc with the whole microsoft.com website inside, offline)

Hello again Keys,

The jumper looks exactly like a jumper that controls slave/master on your harddrive. It's small, made of plastic & is about a couple of mm.s wide.

Look for it on the front of the card (where you can read the model number and so on).
You need to remove it completely, it's easily done with a pair of forceps..in case you dont have long nails ;)
