This is a SH-101 emulation that looks quite good i would like to know if someone has used it and how´s it taking it as an emulation, i mean like audiorealism bassline wich is a kickass emualtion, what about this, does it get close to the real thing or has really nothing to do with it

It's been a while since I checked it out but I seem to remember it misses alot of the high-end sparkle of the SH101.

i like it, you'll have to play a lot with the envelopes until you get something good...
most of the presets i've tested sound like an old computer bleeping lolol
  roll a joint or STFU :) |

exactly the vst is quite nice although i also assume it doesn´t sound like sh101, and yes you´ll have to tweak the envelopes alot to get a good sound |

it sounds weak, tinny, and characterless. maybe you could get nice sound out of it if you stacked 5-6 effects on it, but that's not the point. if the real thing sounds even remotely like it, that synth is a piece of cr*p (which, i hear, is not) not worth its weight in mud.

I expect a synth to sound good always. An envelope has nothing to do with good/bad sounds.
I think you used the term "good" when you should have said "usefull". |

well, envelopes contribute a lot to the character of a patch...
just keep experimenting with the filter/amp envelopes and you'll get a good sound
if you want too, off course... i don't really care...
  roll a joint or STFU :) |

AvS, if a synth patch produces pops and clicks when played in a certain way would you call the synth bad or would you change the envelopes a bit till it suites your playing style? (or change velocity curve or velocity sensitivity)
i dont think there is a synth that always will sound good, as it depends on many things...
but of course it depends on what you mean... clean oscs and filters and such things.. but those things does not always equal good sounds... as it depends on taste and character of sound..
so what do you guys mean?
