when is the best time to visit Russia for a long psy festival or season...info please..?

There are no trance festivals in Russia because of goverment's drugs policy.
Long (few days) summer outdoor parties are small and underground. I know only 3 groups of organisers which make this kind of trance-marathons in Moscow and St.Petersburg on a regular basis. The exact dates of parties usually become known just in 1-2 weeks before the event.
Anyways every week-end there is a bunch of commercial "one-night" parties in Moscow so you won't be dissapointed.
The best time to visit Moscow and St.Petersburg for trance-parties is a season when nights are hot enough for not wearing sweaters and jackets and it's not raining. And these nights are very seldom last years because of our very special climate:) By "very seldom" I mean maximum 3 week-ends during all the summer and they are not going one after another.
You will discover something new in our country anyways so feel free to visit us and forget about weather. Just take a waterproof jacket and be prepared to dance in the sticky dirt under the rain:) |

Yeah here we have not so many sunny days even in summer. If you want to visit long festival you should try Kazantip in Crimea, Ukraine. There is quite nice weather, sea and all that you need. But it is not only psy-trance music there. It is festival for all e-scene. Several different dancefloor is working - House, DnB and so on. There is actually Trance dancefloor. Kazantip usually runs from the end of July to end of August.

the party season in moscow area is may-september, summer is very nice, especially outside moscow, in the country - not too hot, though sometimes rainy, but still very enjoyable =)
moscow itself is really beautiful in aprils/octobers, too.. if you don't really care about its kinda speedy vibe =)
