one thing I just want to make clear...I rarely share mp3s with other ppl or rip audio cds...I'm a leecher that hates to rip stuff and burn stuff...I just download and what I really like I buy...the rest can stay and gather dust
and I hate 192 bitrate mp3s, doesn't anyone encode in 256 anymore?

You always have the option to play the music you like to people and if they really like the music you can write down the names of the artist and the albums and if they really liked it so much they can go and buy it.
I know that a lot of people are just sitting in front of the computer with no real social life ... music is a perfect way to share good moments with friends ... you can do it in real life and you don't need to do it thru a server!

seb, first of all thank you for the countless hours of joy you have given me and thousands of others, what you say is true. but. . .at least from my experience, i go to a university in which very few if any(a few know infected and astral) have ever heard real trance. and yes i play them music and they may say that sounds cool and move on, but ive found when i send them a file(for example, true story, i sent a few of my friends the wanderer remix and aiwana) and they ended up asking me who these guys son kite were like a month later and ended up coming to the spectra party in NY!! to me this is direct evidence for the positive and constructive power of information sharing technologies.
