It's in the sample editor.
You call a fucntion that is called Time and Pitch machine.

nothing much to tell - u set the original bpm, the destination bpm. and hit process.

if you want it shorter, you will have to increase the speed - so you set higher destination bpm

opposite if you want it longer.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

When you learn the principles of time-stretching and pitch-bending/shifting, it might be a good idea to find another program for doing just that. Logic's time/pitch machine sounds somewhat awfull, but nice if you want to distort the sounds and create machine-like stretching

I reccomend soundForge

I had great results with logic's machine. ie. fixing some guitar too short notes - making a flute riff shorter so it'll fit the bpm. I like it.

I use fruti to do that...actually its the only thing i use frutillops for nowadays....

In fruti you can just load a sample into fruti sampler, put the track in same BPM as your track, and then you can assign in sampler window the size of sample in bars. Export it in wav, and its done, right size

I also don't get allong very well with logic time strech thingy....
