You shouldn't get caught up with how long it takes you, just make sure you keep improving.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

strongly depends on your previous musical knowledge, the time you have to improve your skills in your dayly routine, your talent, your methods and teachers and last but not least on your own demands towards your sound..

i would say a couple of years roughly but it does never stop!

ah! so good, i am now not discouraged.
came at this as a guitarist with no computer or music theory knowledge, after a few music courses and reading some production books, things are moving. slowly, but moving.

6 years and still learning

Its not about time my friend, but how much efforts you put in.

Just keep on practicing.Leave music for some days when you get discouraged. You will get back to it once you are inspired.

I started creating psytrance related music with the first tone I could create from cubase lol exactly on the night from 6 to 7 march 2007(god thanks for hands on cubase) and up till now I have had more than less of a year of absolute break from psytrance.but apart from this music proces is flowing the whole life.
Being a seeker or a noob or seing endless posibilities and challenges is what it makes very interesting for me.
