Starting a track is easy, but finishing a track and giving it the final touch including mastering is very difficult.

I do have many incomplete tracks.Whenever I start a new track, i start it with rigour but slowly I loosw focus and start producing another track. The result is - no finished tracks. Is there anyway to overcome this?

I think that is the reason why I do not have many finished tracks.

I'd say on average and if I'm really working at it and not just noodling around, I can complete a track with 24 hours of work(not in one sitting).

Right now I'm only able to find about 24 hours to work on music every 2 months or so. I'm working and have 18 credit hours at school.

I'm getting older and wish I had done school sooner so that I could get back to music, already. Once I'm done, I hope to be able to work on music a couple hours every day at least during the week. Then do longer mixing sessions on the weekends for 8 hours straight or so. With a rate like that I could finish tracks every 2 to 3 weeks.

It's all dicipline, you must make sure you stay focused and don't get stuck. If something isn't working work on a completely different part of the track.
Make sure you have a purpose for everything you are doing, and that it links to the next thing you are going to do. Think about it and you should be able to complete your tracks in a time within the best of your human abilities. (or alien abilities if any of you are reading)

Sounds very familiar, hehe. I have the same problem sometimes.

I find it helps to just decide to work on the trak in question until its done. When I lose inspiration I do many things, sometimes I just sit and think about the song in my head and try to finish it there and then on the computer.

Other times I do some yoga to clear my head and my add ehee.

Other times I listen to music for ideas.

most of the time smoking helps, but not all.

hope this helps
