For those who still haven't discovered and want to - a few names to fuel your Irish Traditional Music session appetite:

Mary Bergin -- her whistle has inspired us all.
Lunasa -- Can you NOT like it?
Black Velvet -- Israelis with a great celtic sound.
Joe McKenna -- Low whistles rule!
AfroCelt -- It's celtic, it's african and it sounds great together.
Gwendal -- Irish band with a jazzy influence.
The Cheiftains -- I'm sure you heard about them.
Alisa Jones -- Classics.
Dervish
Clannad

Positive energies folks.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

I like few of her songs (Night Ride Across the Caucasus, Dancing Gypsy, Marrakesh Night Market, The Mummer's Dance, Marco Polo and The Highwayman) but most of her pieces are a bit too soft for my taste.

Don't know much Irish/Celtic music but one of my favourite band is Dead Can Dance.. they have Celtic influences in their music. Another one is Peter Ulrich.. he has few very nice Celtic'ish tracks.
