Question here. Is it cheaper a 1 Gb flash disk cheaper than a CD? I can´t see how this can make some kind of profit. I am sure I´m missing something here :-P, but it´s a good idea.           0´s and 1´s

there about 3pound more, the only thing i will miss is the cd cover designs if this completly takes over... maybe u could inlude fuked up electro machanical themes and trippy posters with the drive in the packet or sumthin... what i do know is, is that they contain pictures, mix files of certain tracks and samples etc on "so so" flash drive.... what it basicly boils down too, is the people downloadin tracks gettin whole albums digitaly and labels suffering...... The flash Drive concept is Hopfully the way out ... im in for this

Actually I don't get it. At all. What they are suggesting is selling stuff on a harddrive (and supplying the actual harddrive) when that same material can simply be downloaded onto your own harddrive easier and cheaper. It doesn't make any financial sense.

I was trying to subtly make the point that CDs have a wider range of usablility at this point... then you're saying that you can still buy the CD's... but then in the other post above that USB could take over completely. Why would I buy stuff on a stick and burn it to a CD if its not considerably cheaper than buying the CD right off the bat? Don't say remix stuff etc, its only interesting for producers, not the masses. And it can be downloaded too. Just because things seem cool and innovative doesn't make them good and marketable.

Sorry but I just don't get it.. someone please explain?

If CDs are dead, then we better just drop the physical media concept altogether. (imo)           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?
