how does the time compansation work in nuendo?...as far as i know , time comp' should be per channel, in order to delay the the rest of the tracks to line up with the
one channel whos is being delayed due to usage of heavy pluggins such as convelution reverbs etc...so whats the story of having one symble (of a clock) in nuendo as time comp'?

The button with a clock on it disables any plugins that have a latency of more than a certain value (which you set, I think, in Preferences somewhere). This is so that, when you're recording (and monitoring) through plugins on an Input channel, monitoring latency is kept as low as possible. In normal use (playback, mixing, etc), this button should be turned off.
