He's a really talented, really groovy artist... Unfortunately, he's drifting farther from trance and closer to house over the last few years.

Shame.

I have all the respect for him. After years of living in Mark Allen's shadow he is finally showing people what he is worth.
I actually think that his music as Electric Tease was brilliant stuff, he really knows how to mix up the Trance and the Clubby stuff. It sounds intelligent at LEAST.

2 Jonathan:
I don't think he lived in Mark's shadow.
In Europe Tim is not less popular then Mark and when Quirk began Tim was even more known.

Wrong. Mark Allen has been there a LOT before Quirk in the trance scene - he's one of the ones that was there from VERY early on (early works with Nick Taylor under Akasha for instance)... Tim Healy always was credited for his talent, and so was Mark Allen, but Mark Allen is still more a symbol of the trance world as both a DJ and an influential member of the trance movement.

On the other hand, Tim Healy is known mainly as a creator, and on that, he is considered on par with Mark Allen, while on the other scales, there was never much of a comparison. It may be justified (or not), but that really is a matter of opinion.

Tim Healey is a musical genius. :) He makes more progressive house now than psytrance, but it is still amazing music.  Really gets the dancefloor moving more than anything else in my collection.  I like the music he makes now 100x more than I liked the older Quirk.  He makes stuff now as:

Electric Tease (already mentioned)
Dallas Kiss
Slide vs. Healey
Monsta Kok
Tripple-X
Allen & Healey

His music gets released mostly on vinyl on Automatic Records, Fire Recordings, Dragonfly, Deep Records (other random releases too).  He also shows up on more and more big name mixed CDs now.

According to an interview I saw with him, he & Mark no longer make music as Quirk...they now work together officially as "Allen & Healey".  They should have a couple 12" out soon (one on Automatic, one on Deep Records).  There will also eventually be an Electric Tease album.  If you want to see what Tim is up to, check his website

http://www.electrictease.com

And there is a really good interview with him at

http://www.umprod.com/html/interviewframes.php?interview=timhealey

If you ever get the chance to see him, DO IT!!! :) The man is genius.
