Tight music ?

What defines "tight music"
is it when thy all instrument plays at the exactly same time in a song or can tight also define when the kick plays ahead of the bass ,thah the instruments doesn´t strike down at the same time.

to me is an effecient flow. There's no space for anything else.
All elements work well together.

To me tight is kind of when all the musicians playing together have the same flow, the same time and the same phrasing so the whole orchestra sounds like "one". Sort of.. |

hm. tight music for me would be something that has been mixed and mastered very well, i.e. that has a "tight" compact dynamic and rich sound...

a "tight track" to me is something that sounds right the way it is...not lacking anything either in terms of composition or engineering...

tight is something I have been unable to achieve yet, but it's creating one sound out of many, with depth and character. The opposite of "muddy", "sloppy", etc.
Tight demonstrates mastery of all components involved in the creation of a track. |
