Tiga's album 'Sexor' gets a re-release with a bonus CD featuring remixes by the DFA, Morgan Geist and Booka Shade. 'Sexor Collector's Edition' arrives in June.
'Sexor' was originally released in early 2006, showing Tiga's inklings for rave, vocal synth-pop and the cover version. The album brought together his older big hitters 'Louder than a Bomb' and 'Pleasure from the Bass' with newer cuts such as 'You Gonna Want Me', his personal homage to Altern8's 'Infiltrate 202' that featured Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters on vocals. There was also an acid cover of Talking Heads 'Burning Down The House' and even a version of Nine Inch Nails 'Down In It'.
This time around the album is being re-released as a double CD called 'Sexor Collector's Edition'. Disc one will be the same as the original release while the second disc will include unreleased Tiga tracks plus remixes from Booka Shade, Morgan Geist, Van She and the DFA. The new bonus disc also includes Tiga's cover of Soulwax's 'E Talking' as well as the music videos for 'You Gonna Want Me' and '(Far From) Home'. Those who already have the original 'Sexor' longplayer on their shelf can buy the second disc from 'The Collector's Edition' disc as a digital download.
The new edition of the album will also be preceded by a reissue of 'You Gonna Want Me' on May 21, 2007 which comes with brand new mixes from Tocadisco and Modular bright young things, Van She.
