TICON and IBOGA RECORDS present a remix-competition where YOU have the chance to remix the track "Miss 11 PM" from the new Ticon album "I Love You, Who Are You?".

Among the submissions two remixes will be selected by Ticon and Iboga Records and released on Iboga Records - a label that has existed for over a decade, and over the years has hosted productions from prominent artists like Christian Smith, Spektre, Weekend Heroes, Ticon, Antix, Lish, D-Formation, FREq, Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Perfect Stranger, Jerome Isma-Ae, D-Nox & Beckers, Dousk, Djuma Soundsystem, Martin Roth, Protoculture and many more.

We are open for remixes in any style, and we will listen to all submissions.

Buy the remix-files here:
http://beatport.com/s/t7yOTf

Submit your remix to: info@iboga.dk

Deadline for submission is the 1st of July, 2011.

Best of luck to all of you - we can't wait to hear your submissions!

Really do not understand the concept of buying to make a remix .. It must surely be a gift in itself that there are some who wants to work with your track ..

You pay around 10 euros and maybe your track will be released ..

I'd say it's a win-win for Ticon and Iboga

Well, I have seen remix competitions on Beatport where you have to pay for the stems, I guess thats normal, but 10 Euro?????? Thats more than a whole fucking album in some cases!

Even Bedrock is putting out the stems for the Guy J competition for free on Sound Cloud...           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

what s happend ???
9,40 euro perhaps only for mp3 in wave
maybe much more.
I really dont understand.
Now i looked for sure only for one loop
2.94 euro in wave.
lol
the best is nobody buys it.
I do not mean it nastily, however, it is almost ridiculous.

That's crazy!
Why can't the parts just be free like it usually is?
I'd like to know who's idea it was to charge money for these remix files?

It's nothing unusual. There are plenty of pay to play remixes out there. It just happens that most of the times people are so eager to get their shit remixed they'd even pay people to do it.

If someone wants to do a proper remix of Ticon I am sure 11 euros is worth it.

thnx

i can make the stems alone for free
is it still valid for the contest or i must pay?

and if its the second , does it guarantee to release non-iboga artist?
cause if in the end one of the friends in the loop 'wins' then it might feel its all fixed from before it started.. wheather its true or not it will smell weird im sure

other then that great opportunity , i hope people dont buy mp3 stems tho lol thats aint 'proper remix' in my books..           www.sattelbattle.com

From Ticons Facebook Page:

"Regarding the remix competition on Ticon - Miss 11 Pm. Beatport has made the misstake to charge a crazy price for this remix parts. This will be corrected during this week so that anyone can download everything for free. We apologice for this and will let ya all know asap when we have put the files out for free!"

Good to hear you changed it. Beatport and quite a huge lump of the big labels has gone totally greedy with this politic of charging people to make a remix.          www.beatagency.dk

FAIL IMO

There's no need in joining the greedy bandwagon. I do not understand your attitude here on this matter.
