here u see 3 notes with the last larger, suficiently long to develop

and here in chord way:

if u equalize properly your bassline, if u tweak properly your synth, u'll get a very intense and tight bassline. (repeating, this is not the case with the bassline from the example..)

good day!

and of course its 75% long, otherwise the notes will fuse..

elektolux, low down the porn man, u're already shaking and writing stupidities...           Sound:

Nice results, Splinter.

When you say you work 1/128, you mean that you divide each step inside a 4/4 bassline into 1/32 length notes?
So if your pattern is like Kbbb, you ll have a pattern like this for the bass(the kick's length is obviously longer):
K bbbbbbbb bbbbbbbb bbbbbbbb

What do you mean by moving 2 sqaures back??           Ess765 (aka Physical Absence)

when you start writing your bassline, u write 1/16' size notes then you zoom in 1/128 and you'll have 8 squares per bass note...move em all back 2 or 3 squares...depends on your bass sound really but with mine this works best with 2.

I work in ableton so i don't know if this note stuff is the same ....screenshot : http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/5653/picture5ht2.png

and the high notes i usualy leave them 1/16

in cubase you can try around with "swing" on quantize to achieve similar results or just give the bass track a negative delay of a couple of ms to pull forward the whole track a bit.
It's not the same, but similar in effect.           Most of my music for you to download at:

here u go. I've made a small sample loop here. the first 3 bars (of 4 beats) are with a bass made just by 16ths... u'l notice its more weak and clicky, the other bars consequently i use the same bas, no changes at all in the eq or stuff, but mdivided the 16ths into 3 1/96 making always the third one a bit longer. every bar have diferent order of the 3 notes. some are in chord way, other are on the same note, so that u can percieve the diference it can be obtained, without having to use diferent bass patches. for me using this small 3 notes makes the bass more thight, more intense. the sample here is a 5min work so dont complain about bad eqing and stuff ehehe its just an example.
I've used ES1, logic compressor with sidechain and a low cut on the 50hz for the bass. the kik has nothing. its just a wav, sample. no aditional eq. than both are redirected to a bus, and there i've aplied the waves Rcomp, with a lil treshold, opto, smooth. thats it.
let see some opinons
the loop:

i actualy think your regular 1/16 bars sound better
